It is a teaching, training and research hospital and has 550 beds capacity. Cases Handled: Hematologic and Oncology, Malignant diseases (rare and common).

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Head to toe assessment including the neurological status (Level of Consciousness, Glasgow Coma Scale, capillary refill).
• Assist in preparing and set-up tubings of non-invasive ventilation.
• Operate equipments like IV pump, syringe pump, cardiac monitor, CPAP and Bi-Pap (NIV), IABP, defibrillator, ECG Machine.
• Perform blood extraction from peripheral site, arterial and central line.
• Initiates IV cannulation, NGT and urinary catheter insertion.
• Assist in doing procedures like Bone Marrow Aspiration and intrathecal chemotherapy, venesection and exchange blood transfusion.
• Administer blood products(Whole blood, Packed RBC, platelets, FFP), albumin, chemotherapy injections via infusion and agents.
• Render nursing care to patients with CVC, PICC, hickman and Porta catheter.
• Provide specialized Oncology and Hematology nursing care to patients.

• Performed resuscitative and CPR techniques during emergency situations.
• Take and monitors vital signs including drains and outputs of patients and monitoring for any irregularities or new symptoms.
• Initiate and maintains intravenous/ arterial access and fluids.
