A little about me

  • I was born with a congenital heart defect and had my first heart surgery at 9 days old. Throughout life I experienced several surgeries and was a patient of Occupational and Physical therapy myself many times over the years. At age 37 I suffered a ruptured aneurysm and shortly after decided to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Given my personal experiences I know how important therapy is and the impact it can make on someone's life. I feel my experiences have given me the ability to put myself in the shoes of clients' of all ages as well as their families. This has given me the ability to empathize and communicate with my clients on a level not many therapists are able to experience.
