such as the Global War on Terrorism and specific actions
related to the war in Iraq, the search for WMD, the tanker
lease proposal, and the controversy over Abu Ghraib
prison.


Strategized with, and provided advice to, the White House
Office Of Congressional Affairs on all defense- related
legislation or issues that arose in the House of Representatives

Interacted successfully with both the majority and minority
Congressional leaders and their staffs in negotiating the
Pentagon's position on key legislation.


Planned and help execute a successful strategy in the
House of Representatives to enacted substantial DoD
environmental reform legislation, and the first changes in 50 years to the civilian personnel system. Also, developed plans to prevent the House of Representatives from rolling back important legislative initiatives, including those affecting the BRAC process and US nuclear programs.
