As the first Human Resources representative and using experiences gained in previous roles, developed a robust on-boarding program, annual training and compliance processes, clinic policies, and a comprehensive handbook. Work directly with the CEO/Owner, and Senior Leadership to ensure consistent expectations at all levels. Set foundation for expansion to a 3rd clinic, with plans for an additional 3-5 clinics over the next 3-4 years.

Key Results:

  • Created and implemented comprehensive Employee Handbook and HR policies that will be the foundation for the rapidly growing franchise
  • Provide counsel to the CEO/Owner and Senior Leadership ensuring compliance with Employment Laws as growth from a start-up to small to mid-sized business changes standards and requirements while minimizing expense of outside counsel
  • Researched and contracted with a PEO (Professional Employment Organization) to enhance payroll, benefits, and HR support for all employees.

Using programs developed at Eating Recovery Center, updated on-boarding, annual training and compliance processes, and unit policies. Worked with other Sodexo HR Managers in Centura system to ensure all units have consistent Human Resources programs. Given stretch assignments to support units outside Centura systems without in-unit HR support, as well as mentor incoming HR Managers in Colorado and California. Support also provided to hospital in Longmont, CO

Key Results:

  • Actively investigated Employee Relation concerns and thoroughly documented them to minimize any financial or legal liabilities
  • Successfully documented and processed terminations, resulting in $0 in unemployment claims
  • Achieved 100% compliance with Joint Commission requirements, I-9 completion, and eVerify processing, as well as 100% compliance with all hospital health requirements; annual TB testing and Influenza vaccinations; hiring drug screening and background checks.

Human Resources Manager

As the first In-Unit Human Resources Manager streamlined the on-boarding and induction processes, created an efficient system for ensuring annual training and compliance processes. Worked directly with client and corporate teams to establish new units, in and out of state, as well as execute RIFs and unit closings to meet the patient census needs, and/or when client fiduciary expectations required such.

  • Partnered with educational institutions, Rocky Mountain Human Services, and other Sodexo accounts to support recruiting processes, and establish win-win work opportunities
  • Actively fostered Full Cycle Recruiting, and support of Diversity and Inclusion programs that resulted in more than 100% growth in frontline staff, and 300% growth in management support, and expansion into Washington, California, and Texas, with additional growth in Colorado
