Manage a team of 15 that handle all aspects of back- end processes for the imaging department. This includes pre-services, payment posting, AR follow-up, customer service and coding.
Since Imaging billing was new to Adventist when we joined, my immediate responsibilities included implementation of a new billing software, engagement of statement and collection vendors and training of a new coding vendor to manage manage work for our hospital locations.
As part of ongoing QA and productivity management, I collaborate with other team members to meet goals. In addition, my work includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
Managed Imaging billing department. Our department included coding, pre-billing services and AR follow-up. I was responsible for making sure all work was done timely and accurately. I worked closely with my superiors to make sure that we were in line with leadership goals.
Managed all aspects of billing and coding for Shady Grove Radiology office and hospital sites. Worked closely with Finance departments and physicians to set goals and establish policy. Worked with physicians on dictation requirements for optimal coding and reimbursement.
Director for billing company. Oversee processes and systems for 100 physician groups. Specialties include primary care, psychiatry, podiatric medicine, surgery, pathology, radiology and oncology.
Manager of billing company for physicians. Worked closely with CFO and owner. Largest practices were pathology and Shady Grove Radiology.
