Mission Statement
As a nurse with 27 years of progressive experience, I have built a strong foundation in patient care, advocacy, and service that now informs my role as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Supported by my service as an Air Force Veteran, I remain dedicated to care and grounded in service, incorporating evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgment to provide prudent care while advocating for equity in mental health.
Professional Summary
With 27 years of progressive nursing experience, I began my career at Prince George’s Hospital Center (now the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center), where I first gained experience in psychiatric and behavioral health nursing in 2004. I also developed strong telemetry and medical-surgical skills while working at Georgetown University Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, building a solid foundation in high-acuity patient care. This combination of psychiatric expertise and broad clinical experience has shaped my practice from LPN to MSN and now informs my role as a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
