I entered the competition reluctantly.  My friends urged me to join so I did and won 2nd place that night.  The guy that beat me played 3 notes and threw his hands in the air in victory after every 3 note phrase.  I was in disbelief that I got 2nd place.  Gary Weiss, who at the time was the director of the Rock Hall was one of the judges and the guitarist from Warrant was one of the other judges.  When the competition was over, I asked Gary why I got 2nd place, he said "He had more friends cheering him on"  Complete politics lol! Anyways it was a valuable experience.  Next time, bring more friends! Gary was a good friend of mine from when I worked at Difiore's Music.
