Qualify tested new hydraulic components being designed for Lockheed Martin F22 and Boeing 777. Components were cycled 1 million times in extreme temperatures. Then taken to extreme hydraulic pressures to find breaking point.
Was assigned to department LM600 which primarily assembled Northrop B-2 wings to the fuselage. Installed fuel tubing, hydraulic tubing and electrical components inside the wing tanks. Sealed all seams and fasteners then pressure tested wing tanks. Built and installed negative G box in forward tanks.
Secondary job Installed main landing gear.
Assigned to Grumman A-6E Intruder squadron VA-165. Worked O-level maintenance for 2 years in Jet Engine shop on Pratt & Whidbey J52 engines. Trouble shooting and replacing components. Fuel system trouble shooting and replacing bladders and external fuel tanks. Removing and replacing complete engines. Completed 100 hour engine inspections.
High and low power turn qualified. (Start aircraft & test at idle & high power settings).
2 years as general maintenance on A-6E. Preformed preflight & postflight inspections. Maintained fuel and oil levels. Lubed all grease points. Checked tire condition and air pressure. Cleaned windscreen, canape and washed aircraft.
Yellow equipment qualified; Tow Tractor & Huffer Cart.
