I served as terminal manager for 10 Roads. We maintained an efficiency that allowed us to employ 300 drivers in our Greensboro terminal with over 200 tractors under our control. Due to downsizing of postal contracts and the USPS decision to in house a lot of their transportation, Greensboro operations were moved to Harrisonburg.
I was a consultant during this time. I helped to improve efficiencies in their operations. These changes included routing of trips, compliance, maintenance of the equipment and relationship with USPS.
I was hired as the operations manager. I was tasked with finding a facility from which to operate, hiring of maintenance personnel, hiring of drivers and making sure routes ran efficiently.
