Introduce myself to the students in September as a point person and share my primary responsibility is to serve and help keep them safe

Serve as an intermediary between teachers and administrators regarding student infractions

Favorite things I teach: short story genre, Romanticism, Naturalism, the frontier in literature, hero's journey, importance of speculative and dystopian fiction, the value of declamation

Favorite texts I use: Daphne Du Maurier "The Birds", Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Victor Hugo's abridged les Miserables, Seamus Heaney's translation of Beowulf

Put forth intense effort into building a great program at the Boston Latin School; currently 4 alumni are competing: Worcester Poly Technical School, Case Western Reserve University, Roger Williams University, Naval Academy Preparatory School

Help build and maintain a strong wrestling culture at a public exam school

Create and continuously implement an effective technique system
