I created this job from an idea
I figured out, taught myself how to install, found a wholesaler, wrote my own ads, took all incoming calls, and set my own appointments
At this point i've been in hundreds of homes
I've made friends with all customers, and have sold and installed over 6,000 Sun shades
Ive since figured out how to make my own shades that i sell now
I like this job a lot
I like being out and about
But it does drop off a lot each fall until Spring
In the long-run, id like to work with and be apart of a company.

A friend Chris owned the business and building, he had been in business 35 years
He was selling the building and did so in 2020
I fortunately new a year prior sooner or later he'd sell and close and i got lucky and started messing with Sun shades.

The first publication was 16 pages and went out to 100 stores
I built the company to five full time employees and the publication grew to168 pages, distributed in 2200 stores
2005 revenue was just over $600k in sales
Publishing changed due to the internet, were lucky we made it through most of 2011 before we had to close.
