With this company I started at international paper cutting grass for a few weeks til I was transferred to Weyerhaeuser wood products. At Weyerhaeuser I became familiar with many different positions a soon after running a few of the different positions rotating out with senior employees. I became familiar and operated the ( Imacnine) with is where TJI joist were assembled and glued together in a fast moving process, I operated the rip saw which would cut large billets of wood into smaller strips of wood that were then measured with a dial indicator to ensure proper thickness. I was trained and the appointment to operate the over head crane moving mood from the oven, over to storage, or to the rip saw machine.
I have a TWIC card and Houston area safety council card
I don’t know absolutely everything about being a plant maintenance millwright, but I’m willing to learn and do extra training to understand and master millwright. I have precision tools and hand tools and ready to be part of the team.
I haven’t finished my millwright school but I’m planning to go back and getting my NCCER certification.
