Accomplishments

  • Developed comprehensive technical training program by partnering with Tooling U; created tailored training for equipment and processes specific to our site, closing all technical gaps and establishing a new certification program for all incoming technicians.
  • Partnered with Advent Design to implement Alternative Protective Measures to all 32 production lines allowing operators and technicians to safely access isolated areas without performing full lock out - tag out which impacts equipment uptime.
  • Supervised team of 170 personnel, which included six supervisors, two engineers, and six day support staff.
  • Operations receiver for two simultaneous major expansions which increased capacity by 33% in Core and 20% in Blankmaking, while maintaining focus on safety and ensuring production targets were met or exceeded.
  • Achieved department record $2.02M in cost savings through implementation of Supplies and Equipment Kanban system resulting in 42.43% improvement from prior year.
  • Documented and resolved Blankmaking lathe burnback upset which led to 75% reduction in monthly burnbacks ($18k monthly savings).
  • Assumed leadership of worst performing shift and by getting everyone's input and buy in they created a new operations playbook that established best practices and removed individual variables, resulting in the top performing shift and other shifts adopting our practice.
