Accomplishments

In my current position, after being hired for one description, I have created a whole entire new job based on opportunities and challenges that I saw that should be implemented; thus establishing something that was never known needed before. I immediately recognized the opportunity and dire need to help the hospital's supply room organization and supply chain issues. I, myself have sought out and formed strong and trusting relationships with the clinical nursing staff along with the managers and directors of these departments. I proposed what I could do for them, and so far have single handedly re-created from bare walls, brand new supply rooms in 50% of the hospital with all new racking, bins, PAR setup, proper organization and a streamlined process for not only their supplies but for other items in the rooms such as equipment, etc. This has increased and simplified workflow for the staff, making it easy for them to find crucial items needed for patient care much faster. This also has helped to ensure product availability by having the right amount on hand, along with assisting in the floor budget through leaning out product on hand and charges to the floor with a more consistent refilling process.
