I have been in the street department for the City of Manassas Park since July of 2002. Many things have changed in the city, but one remained the same: Mark Rohland was my supervisor. This has allowed me to be a part of all street department operations that happen on a daily basis, and to learn a great deal of information. I was tasked with being second in command over 15 years ago. This allowed me to be responsible for our department's daily work, to schedule jobs, train, and help fellow crew members. Also, it helped me further my training and knowledge of how to be a Sr. Crew Leader.
During this time, I have been able to obtain a certification from IMSA as a Traffic Field Tech 2, and a Signs and Pavement Markings Tech 1. A prerequisite for these certifications is an intermediate work zone, which I have obtained as well. I also have a Class B CDL with a tanker endorsement. Additional certifications to include are TS2 troubleshooting, confined space, and FEMA emergency management.
I have spent almost 23 years not only in the street department, but also as a part of all public works operations. I'm a dedicated employee who wants to get the job done, but also wants to make sure it's done safely and done the right way. I'm willing and able to work in any and all weather conditions, days, nights, and holidays.
