EDUCATION & TRAINING

Graduated high school in the year 1982 from Hayesville High School.

In 1983 entered a trade school for welding upon completion of a portion for plate welding.

In October 1984 i entered in the SELCAT apprentship in IBEW local 84 upon compeleting and topping out in 1987.

EXPERINENCE

I started my journey as a journeyman lineman. After years of traveling the east side of the of the Misssissippi, working in serveral IBEW locals working Underground, distribution and transmission and have worked every major hurricane since 1985 from hurricanes(hugo,katrina,sandy,ike so on and so forth) Then in 1996 I headed West to California to work in IBEW local 1245 & 47 Where I worked as a lineman,foreman,GF & superintendent. Also worked as outside union Rep. I have been with IBEW Local 47 for forty two years.

SUMMARY

Over my 42 years in the IBEW, I have worked with union members on negotiating committees, safety committees. Also as a union representative in local 47 sat in on grievances,safety committee,part of fax finding committee on insurance to help ratify contracts, have been union Stewart in several jurisdictions,in the IBEW enjoyed my years of training apprentices.Have had experience with apprenticeship committees on their training and safety as a foreman was in charge crews working in backyards setting poles live line work with rubber gloves and hot sticks, Also Transmission work bundle wire string ,clipping deadending setting steel poles & towers with cranes and helicopter, on 500kv & 230 kv lines. As a GF organized crews for work on Underground,overhead & emergency storm restoration.

As a superintendent organized and over seen two major Underground projects from safety, bidding,material, labor, equipment & specialty equipment for jobs. Communication with customers,power company & sub contractors holding all accountable.

4.Superintendent SAFETY is alway priority,Accountability,to one self the company and to the union, organizing crews that want to work for you is allways helpful run a tight ship, make it easy for crews to be able talk to management.

5.UNION REP & Stewart worked with members on SAFETY committee,negotiation committee to have accountability,justified members actions, and to up hold code of excellence!!!

6. Spent 3 months in the Virgin Islands as a GF storm restoration. 2 years in Puerto Rico GF working on storm restoration
