I grew up in lampasas Texas. Mack and Arlys Garner were my parents. I had two brothers and a sister, and I was very much involved in athletics, and playing the trumpet. I accepted Jesus as my savior at age six, and was baptized at the age of seven at First Baptist Church of Lampasas. Also, I rededicated my life to Christ at the age of 12 at Highland Lakes Baptist Camp in Spicewood. I went to college at Baylor Thee University, and after my Sophmore year in 1980, I married the love of my life, LuzCinda Connell Garner. We have been married 41 years and have 15 wonderful children (9 girls and 6 boys).
I was called to preach at age of 30. With the guidance and help of the Lord, I helped to fill the pulpit a few times at First Baptist of Burnet and Lake Victor Baptist Church. When I was 33 years old, I had the opportunity to go on a missionary trip to Russia, which occurred in 1991. I have been retired for 6 months and I'm ready to serve God wherever He leads.
