  • My duties consisted of operating various pieces of heavy equipment. I have done excavation of embankment, excavated trenches for storm drainpipes, laid reinforced concrete pipe, laid various sizes of backfilling and compaction of backfill as required by D.O.T.D. I have removed old shut down/discarded gas and diesel tanks from deep in the ground at service stations. I have placed new tanks in the ground and performed the dirt work on top of the new installed tank and finished the dirt work to prep for the concrete to be poured on top, using a Caterpillar excavator. While working here I have operated 50-ton Grove cranes running a man basket lifting men in the air to make repairs. I have loaded and unloaded steel beams, sheet piling and bridge girders. A lot of my time in the crane was working in harsh, hot conditions, I worked well with a crew of several men watching the flagmen instructions while moving the crane and unloading heavy beams and various pieces of machinery. I have not had any accidents while performing these duties and I am very comfortable with my ability to perform the duties asked of me.
