  • Operated CNC lathe machines to produce parts, components and assemblies with high precision and accuracy.
  • Communicated effectively with team members regarding project status updates, scheduling changes or other important information.
  • I worked with 3 other machinist and coached them in better tool practices and methods for more accurate and faster cycle times
  • Worked with supervisor to upgrade tooling to have best possible tooling for jobs

Sr. Model Maker

TerumoBCT
09.2004 - 08.2022
  • As a Model Maker (aka Prototype machinist) at Terumo BCT I was 1 of 12 Model Makers within the department that helped create prototype equipment for the Blood Separation and Stem Cell Regeneration Industry. In a collaborative effort with the other Model Makers and the Engineers within the company we made parts for the equipment using whichever machine needed. CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, Manual Mills or Lathes, EDM's Grinders, etc. Terumo mostly had HAAS equipment in the CNC aspect but the manual equipment was LeBlonde lathes, Hardinge Lathes and Bridgeport Manual Mills. Most of my work was on the Lathes for my ability to maintain a +/- .0001 tolerance on most materials. We used a lot of 316/316L and other stainless and MoldStar for Core Pins for Injection Molds we build for the disposal products

CNC Machinist

Hartmann Machine and Tool
03.2000 - 08.2004
  • At Hartmann's I Set-up and operated a Mazak CNC Mill where I made all types of products. During my time with them I made numerous prototypes for several companies. I made the second generation Miracle Grow Fertilizer Sprayer, The Prototype manufacturing components for the first disposable contact lenses for Vistakon parts for the mechanical altimeter for Lockheed Martin. Where tolerances were close and the G.D.&T was very pronounced and used.

CNC Machinist

MayDay Manufacturing
05.1992 - 03.1996
  • Mayday was the beginning of my CNC Machinist Career. I began here in the Lathe Department learning machine operation and set-up procedures. I was not only educated in Machine Operation but in proper tool usage, maintenance of the equipment and coolant issues. I worked in the Inspection department for the first 3 weeks to insure I knew proper measuring instrument usage, calibration techniques and Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T) Which I have carried through the rest of my career as a CNC Machinist. After almost 3 years I was promoted and moved to the CNC Milling Department and furthered my career. I was released after 4 years when the company had cutbacks.
