Maintenance Tech (Rides Lvl II)

  • Lead yearly rebuild on flat ride (Air Racer) for 2 seasons. (2 people)

- Disassembly of ride for outside NDT contractor to inspect welds.

- Reassembly of ride replacing worn out/ torque specific nuts/ bolts, bushings and washers.

- Multiple different torque values with the use of Loctite, nord lock washers and torque seal.

  • Lead yearly rebuild on coaster train (The Flying Cobras) for 2 seasons. (2 people/ 365 man hrs)

- Removal of trains from coaster.

- Removal of bodies from chassis'

- Installation of bodies to previously rebuilt chassis'

- Cleaning chassis' from debris and grease

- Disassemble of wheels, carriers, axles, bearings, chain dog, and rear hitch assemblies.

- Measuring bores for vertical pins, hitch knuckles (front and rear), vertical pins, hitch shafts and axle shafts using a Bore gauge and Dial Calipers.

- Prepped for outside NDT contractor for weld inspectons.

- Replaced worn out parts/bushings/bearing and seals.

- Use of bearing heater to install press bushings on axle housing.

- Press spherical bearings in wheel carriers.

- Multiple different torque values with the use of bend tabs, Loctite, nord lock washers, torque seal.

  • Performed rebuild on three coaster trains (Fury 325) for 2 seasons. (4 people)

- Removal of trains from coaster storage track.

- Cleaning dirt and debris from trains

- Disassembly of train and cleaning parts for outside NDT contractors to inspect.

- Start rebuild of train including rebuilding lap bar mechanisms, wheel bogie units, wheel bogie to train, front hitches, rear hitches, floor boards fiberglass and seats.

- Use of different lubricants while building components.

- Multiple different torques settings with Loctite, bend tabs, nord locks and torque seal.

  • Assisted in rebuilds and repairs at Mountain Gliders, Balloon Race, Hurler, Copper Head Strike, Cyclone, Afterburn
  • Perform daily inspection and repairs on multiple amusement rides: flat rides and coasters.
  • Performed detailed weld inspection with the use of a DJI Matrice Drone using H30 Camera. This process involves a pilot on one controller and a camera man on another controller to perform the track inspection. My job was to operate the camera. The drone inspection would take forty hours per coaster and happened every quarter. Roughly 150 hours experience.
  • Ability to use Enerpac and hydraulic presses.
  • Ability to use all tools and if untrained on a specific tool, be trained and effectively use the specified tool.
