Responsible for the performance of the Packaging Department that consisted of 135 employees in areas of Safety, Product Quality and Product Safety, Cost and the overall Employee Environment. As a result, employee Safety improved based on total work hours, customer complaints decreased and the we were under budget on labor.

Ensure efficient scheduling of the packaging lines in order to minimize downtime. Department production time was increased.

Work with the various equipment and material suppliers to ensure that human and product Safety align.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment by assisting the Supervisors create and facilitate the education to employee team members regarding SOPs, GMPS, Plant safety rules and HACCP.

Identify equipment downtime and machine downtime while working with maintenance to resolve issues leading inefficiencies. Machine up time was increased by 6%.

Managed and Maintained product recipes to ensure that everything was in line with customer specifications. Results showed a greater increase in first pass ratings to greater then 99 %.

Worked with the specific company R&D management in order to attain additional customer satisfaction of the product resulting in lower than expected customer complaints.

Worked with various suppliers to ensure product consistency throughout the entire year.

Established equipment setpoints and then coached the employees on the reasons behind the setpoints to ensure consistency from shift to shift.

• Coordinated, supervised and evaluated work of subordinates and reallocated staff and resources to meet performance requirements in Whey Processing resulting in increased product recovery.
• Identified underperforming areas and implemented effective process improvements resulting in decreased waste.
• Assumed responsibility and oversight for hiring, onboarding and mentoring new staff members resulting in a low attrition rate.
• Identified areas of conflict among team members and immediately worked to resolve those issues using hands on Team building exercises.
