Provide visitation to membership who are hospitalized. If unavailable, help to coordinate with other staff to do so.
Provide visitation to membership who are homebound and in retirement communities.
Assist the Deacons in learning their roles as ministers of care within our church ministry.
Give pastoral staff updates and supervision pastoral care matter.
Support related ministries within our church through advice, counsel, and administrative support as necessary.
Assist the Senior Leadership in developing an appropriate, effective pastoral care ministry for congregation and community at large. This would involve creating a philosophy and structure, as well as coordinating pastoral care ministry, but not doing all the pastoral care him/herself.
Assist the staff and laity in the development and implementation of small groups of care (such as grief support, etc.).
Provide occasional support/input/sounding board for current staff in dealing with church members’ health/family crises or other pastoral care matters.
Responsible for the care and preparation of all Holy Ordinances for our church. This includes Holy Communion, Foot Washing, Times of Consecration, and Water Baptism.
Participate in the preaching/teaching rotation and participate in worship as available.
To discern, develop, plan, and provide leadership for the middle school, high school, and young adult ministry in keeping with the mission and vision of the Charge.
Work in consultation with the senior pastor to discern short and long-range goals for ministry, based upon the needs of those who are already a part of the ministry and those who are not yet here.
Build up this ministry based upon a foundation of a relationship with Jesus Christ and relationship with youth, their parents, and young adults.
Ensure that the youth and young adult ministry balance worship, devotion, mission, and justice.
Follow the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) by reaching out to un-churched youth and young adults in our community, including equipping young people to do so.
Work with youth ministry volunteers as a team, and equip additional leaders.
Oversee publicity and communication for the youth ministry, congregation, and community.
Participated in the preaching/teaching rotation as requested.
Participated in managing the church's day-to-day operations, including budget management, financial reporting, and facilities management.
Supervise and manage church staff, including administrative personnel, maintenance staff, and volunteers.
Participated in planning and coordination of events and activities, including worship services, meetings, and special events.
Maintain accurate records and files related to church operations, including financial records, membership records, and building maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax laws and building codes.
Work with the church leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance church operations and promote growth.
