Throughout life, and within my unique and diverse work experience, I have developed a number of professional and transferable skills. From that list of many, the following highlights those skills I consider most crucially important to how I have found success in any endeavor:
I employ critical thinking and strategic planning with research and analysis seeking capital appreciation and income through trading stock and options over various time frames, with a focus on mitigating risk, as an individual retail trader.
I made a family of friends and close personal relationships as a valued server at a local popular restaurant. I liked this place and loved the people I met there. I enjoyed fantastic repeat clientele and provided excellent service, leadership, and new employee training. From 2007 to 2010 I also had fun working as a server at Baby Acapulco's and Uncle Billy's on busy Barton Spring's road.
I enjoyed being the office "go to" position for urgent, rare, or otherwise special need situations, in addition to providing day to day general office services and support such as copy, mail, fax, clerical, courier, conference room setup, catering coordination, facilities assistance, and supply maintenace, for busy downtown Austin law firm.
TOPS is a wholesale/ resale office furniture business, formerly located in the warehouse district of East 5th, that also featured a rock, gem, mineral store Nature's Treasures. Awesome place! I enjoyed negotiating and setting prices, working with a wide variety of customers and clients in a commissioned sales basis. I provided to clients valued services such as on site spatial planning with complete modular layout designs, and digital marketing of existing product covering 20,000 sq feet of physical inventory.
I served as a customer service point of contact on site in over 11 various account locations. As a Team Lead floater, I filled in where I was most needed. I learned a great deal about many different types of companies by providing outsourced services such as mailroom, shipping and receiving, reprography, office services, incoming phone and reception, and general customer assistance to a variety of businesses.
I was professionally licensed to sell life insurance and mutual fund investments. I initiated and performed all areas of the direct sales process including prospecting for clients, setting appointments, providing presentations, and closing business. Additionally I recruited and trained new team members and attended hundreds of hours of sales training. I learned a fantastic amount about sales, self employment, and people and my skills there within.
I cherish time with my daughter, family, and friends as well as my two dogs and one cat. I like music, movies, humor and thought provoking conversations. I enjoy chess, poker, and fantasy football, or just about any game that combines strategy and opportunity. I like being a part of a team and celebrating victory together.
