- Prepare analysis of trade requirements through the use of audits, surveillance, and/or incident reports.
- Provide instruction for nuclear or non-nuclear work of the Structural Group personnel in the skills of the trade.
- Demonstrate computer literacy, while preforming as Disturbed Penetration Request Coordinator, keeping track of all penetrations created on the project and entering each DPR in the AIMs system.
- Acted as Fallout Contamination Worker in Japan alongside rad-con, providing assistance and process improvement to the Fallout Control Team.
- Use technical practices to provide production support services such as structural interference removal or assist with material callout and ordering utilizing job material knowledge.
- Repair and install equipment assemblies.
- Convert engineering designs, offsets and other design criteria into 3D models, templates, shapes and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programs, for the fabrication of structural components.
- Performs 3D coordinate measurement and alignment using a variety of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and providing reports of data.
- Prepare detailed drawings that give exact measurements and specifications for all the ship's parts and translate into the actual parts of the ship.
- Make life-sized patterns of each part of the ship to be built.
- Measure characteristics of objects, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure: Identify magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms.
- Redesign or adjust measurement capability to minimize errors.
- Develop techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements.
- Relevant experience in SA (Spatial Analyzer) such that they can complete surveys independently using survey instructions/templates/MPs.
- Perform inspection surveys using Laser tracker, Creaform Metrascan, Laser radar, and GSI photogrammetry (D850). make reports in SA or Microsoft Excel from survey data.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and applying GD&T to capture data that will fulfil survey requirements.
