Senior Leadership

• Developed a vision and executed plan to grow a $19MM siloed industrial process installation/design company to a $30MM+ business by developing and growing collaborative cross-functional teams.
• Provided monthly and quarterly financial and operations updates to Board of Directors while also presenting vision and execution of company goals, providing 360 degree visibility for the entire team
• Identified an industry wide maintenance need. Developed implementation and growth plans to address the needs and developed a team of maintenance professionals to service the customer with an estimated value of $10MM+ in organic revenue.
• Responsible for the hiring, growth, development, and retention of engineering/maintenance and operations staff; up to 110 direct and 510 indirect team members.
• Led plant in the construction, start-up, and full production rates of a new $250MM (2017) plant expansion in record time utilizing the Vertical Start-up process.
• Established a close, cohesive relationship with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to ensure commitment to a unified vision across the plant as we continuously optimize our process and serve our team.
• Built cross-functional training curriculum through development of the Lamb Weston University – Richland concept to internally train and coach plant team members on Lamb Weston specific processes.
• Collaborated with external entities such as Local Government, Local Ports, Insurance Companies, Clean Air Authority, Dept. of Ecology, and others on a broad spectrum of needs. Examples include NPDES compliance, utility infrastructure development, future plans for growth and development, and risk identification and mitigation.
• Developed and implemented a company-wide Engineering Managers monthly meeting to align Plant Engineering, Corporate Engineering, and Technical Services, enhancing intercompany communications on common issues.
• Researched and identified new technologies and collaborated in forming research teams that consisted of internal and external business partners and sponsors that traveled globally to perform R&D testing on technologies that ranged from single components to complex systems.

Project Management & Engineering

• Directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Capital Projects, Environmental, Wastewater Treatment, and Process Control Teams.
• Oversaw Plant Reliability program using Lean Six Sigma Methodology in collaboration with Industrial Engineering, Continuous Improvement & Focus Improvement Teams.
• Capital Project Program Owner – $5MM - $45MM+ plan with 30 - 50 capital projects implemented annually
• Oversight of Capital Project Engineering Team:
• o Reviewed and approved project scope development and budget
• o Presented projects to Senior Leadership / Board of Directors
• o Ensured proper use of Early Management Methodology
• o Assisted in oversight and development of the Project Vertical Start-Up team
• o Provided oversight and guidance to Project Management and Engineering team
• o Optimized Project Implementation to assist in selecting most qualified vendors for projects, ensuring project sponsor alignment, and ensuring project scope readiness
• Oversaw Wastewater Treatment Operations consisting of a Low-Rate Anaerobic Digester, Methane Gas generation, and Aerobic oxidation process.
• Managed Campus Process Control Team responsible for campus wide controls and SCADA systems, including Rockwell Automation RSView, GE Intellution, and Thin Client technology.
• Worked collaboratively with research and development staff, operations, engineering, and quality to develop processes from idea conception to project commercialization resulting in numerous new product launches and patents.
• Managed all phases of R&D capital projects from project scope definition, budget development, project submittal, project implementation, commissioning and financial tracking, allowing for on time on budget project delivery.

Maintenance

• Provided Direct Oversight of Maintenance Managers with teams consisting of Process, Packaging, Electrical, and Boiler & Refrigeration Maintenance Teams who attained near world class overall equipment efficiency.
• Responsible for developing and managing a $15MM+ Annual Maintenance Budget.
• Responsible for the implementation of plant Process Safety Management (PSM) & Mechanical Integrity Programs.
• Implemented Predictive Maintenance Strategies through cross-functional teams between Maintenance and Reliability teams, further enhancing overall equipment efficiency across the campus.

Procurement

• Assisted in overseeing plant procurement team, including plant buyer, tool room lead and attendants, and parts receiving team, which sources and procures approximately $40MM+ of goods ranging from product ingredients to packaging materials to sanitation supplies to maintenance items to engineered solutions.
