Pathway Director

  • Functions as a Pathway Director for the Healthcare Career Pathway.
  • Responsible for the leadership, overall planning, management, completion and implementation of large complex and high priority workforce development and apprenticeship projects working toward reducing inequity and employment barriers for learners by increasing access to quality work-based learning (WBL) opportunities.
  • Identify new workforce education/apprenticeship initiatives and review program performance on a regular basis.
  • Anticipate client training needs by identifying client and industry trends to determine future training needs for healthcare industry clusters.
  • Lead day-to-day implementation of new initiatives to formulate and implement workforce development strategies that will strengthen the talent pipeline that fuels expanded learning programs.

  • DC Department of Health’s Medical Assistance, ACS was contracted with the District of Columbia government to provide business process outsourcing for the District of Columbia’s Department of Health’s Medical Assistance Administration’s Medicaid Management Information System (DCMMIS).
  • As the Provider Relations Supervisor, my primary responsibility was to provide first level exemplary comprehensive management of the daily operations of the provider relations unit.
  • This included: setting standards of operation and ensuring that all standards were met; addressed complicated questions and issues related to provider inquiry and enrollment; identified training needs as well as the planning and execution; conducted weekly performance evaluations of staff located in the provider inquiry call center; prioritized research for staff assigned to written correspondence; reviewed all incoming and outgoing written correspondence; assisted and advised staff members in resolving problems and issues that arise with internal and external customers; ensured that all quality assurance standards are met; developed and generated various reports for the Medical Assistance Administration.
