My strengths and abilities have prospered in the last eleven years as a DSA, and I feel I am a great fit for a DA-1 supervisor within the community. In many instances in several different IRAs I have worked in, when there is not a supervisor on duty and a scheduling emergency arises, I have acted quickly and efficiently to come to a solution with as much ease as I feel I can. My knowledge of the policies and procedures within this facility, I personally feel, would give me the best outcome for myself and the staff with whom I work in that setting. My ability to be equally fair to all, despite any circumstances or issues in my path, allows me to be a strong and positive role model for both the staff and the individuals that I care for. My ability to be a strong support, if needed, to keep my emotions and feelings aside, to be the most professional and understanding supervisor for those in my setting. I have obtained my CPR instructor certification through the Staff Development and Training office at Sunmount DDSO a few years prior. Throughout the years, I have held multiple CPR refresher courses for my colleagues within both IRAS, providing knowledge for CPR and first aid in the most efficient and simplest way around their schedules for them, keeping both houses up to date on trainings.
