• Monitors and directs activity of lift technicians and housekeepers.

• Builds work schedules assuring adequate staffing. Evaluates needs and sets priorities for work to be performed.

• Establishes standards and monitors activities of assigned staff. Corrects deficiencies as needed.

• Investigates and assists problems concerning transportation, Lift services and housekeeping.

• Maintains and monitors equipment of department

• Attends meetings offering input regarding Lift Team or EVS operations.

• Hires, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates assigned staff as appropriate.

• Communicates goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff.

· Monitors phones and emails for self and department leadership

· Creates reports, presentation materials with charts and illustrations

· Inputs data and maintains established databases.

· Tracks expenditures to include billing and payment authorization on behalf of the dept, authorizes recharges across business units. Manages expense reports.

·Helps develop budget for equipment and supplies. Responsible for tracking expenditures and variances to budgets.

· Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to operating unit served.

· Administrative liaison

·Establishes work priorities, scheduling and conducts department-specific training.

· Coordinates TB fit testing program process and specific clerical processes delegated by supervisor.

· Coordinates process of respirator medical surveillance for all employees in region. Performs Environmental Rounds bi-weekly.

· Assists in evaluation of respirator program. Monitors costs for program equipment and supplies.

· Develops and revises respirator fit testing protocols. Maintains respirator fit testing records and provides statistical data.

· Keeps up-to-date on respirator related regulations that may impact program.

· Inputs data into AAMRS/EHIS and generates reports. Collaborates with EHIS Coordinator to develop programs and forms to maintain data, provide tracking, and statistics.

· Coordinates with Department of Health upon request of patient information.

· Receives acuity information from all nursing units to determine staffing needs.

· Identifies staffing shortages. Takes appropriate action to resolve. Calls and schedules staff as required.

· Generates reports as needed and maintains databases

· Uses automated system to notify staff of available vacant shifts and resolve staffing issues.

· Prepares staff schedules for clinical departments and centralized float pools. Applies collective bargaining unit agreements and Kaiser polices and procedures to scheduling process.

· Calculate and approve timecards for clinical hospital areas and adjusts as needed.
