An adaptive learner with interpersonal skills to use communication and strategic ways to build interpersonal connections. Looking forward to expanding my horizon on where these interpersonal communication skills will take me in the future in terms of my career in Speech Language Pathology. I am a motivated, honest, and a reputable worker. Throughout graduate school and clinical placements I have been exposed to assessing and treating speech and language disorders by utilizing evidence-based practices to develop effective treatment plans. Striving to provide client-centered care and expand upon my knowledge in the field.
In terms of my experience with Speech Language Pathology thus far, I am in my fourth out of five terms of my graduate program. I have had experience in courses regrading the pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. I have completed an MBSImP training throughout with my dysphagia course. I have had clinical experience working in the private setting at an ABA clinic, as well as worked at an elementary school delivering treatment to children with articulation disorders, language deficits, and supported their literacy development by integrating the classroom curriculum into my treatment plans. By the end of this year we will have completed both our immersive weekends on campus in pediatrics and adult settings where we have administered assessments, treatments, and practiced our bedside care. I am looking to expand upon my knowledge learned in my course work by working with the adult population in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting.
