I spent the first 10 months of my healthcare career in the Covid Swab Clinic prior to the release of the vaccines, the Pediatric Vaccine Clinic, and then eventually the Covid Vaccine clinic. Those clinics were a masterclass in teamwork, problem solving, and customer service during a very stressful and fearful time in the world. It was in these clinics, I learned how to educate patients depending on their needs.
Towards the end of my time in Covid, I began floating around the hospital's clinics. As a float, I had to be adaptable at a moment's notice to go to any department that needed my assistance. And though I continue to float, I eventually settled in the Orthopedics department. It is here where I received my post operative training. Every one of these departments along with working closely with providers, has enhanced my desire to take on a more impactful role in healthcare to further assist the patients.
