Born and raised in California, I received a full-ride scholarship (Women's Soccer) to Louisiana Tech University. I transferred to East Carolina University in 2018 for a more competitive atmosphere, both athletically and academically. After graduating from East Carolina University, I was hired with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office in June 2020. I underwent a five-month police academy, where I was awarded the Top Overall Achievement and Top Academic Awards. After being released from a three month field-training program, I remained in the Uniform Patrol Division from April 2021-July 2023. During this time, I became a member of the following special teams: Crisis Negotiation, Honor Guard, and Tactical Field Force. In addition, I obtained the following certifications: General Instructor, Field Training Officer, and Crime Scene Forensic Tech. I underwent a multitude of training, primarily geared towards Special Victim Investigations and Interview/Interrogation. In July 2023, I was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit, being one of the youngest (experience and age wise) investigators in the history of the department. Since being a Criminal Investigator, I have investigated primarily Special Victims cases to include child and adult sexual and domestic assaults. In addition, I have investigated an abundance of financial and property crimes. I am looking to advance my career and discover what better opportunities are on the horizon.
