Herd Supervisor

  • Main focus was on training and/or tuning up our guest horses or our project horses, in order to get them ready for the guest season
  • Created ferrier, chiropractic, and pulse therapy list based off of the horses current needs.
  • I had similar responsibilities to a vet tech. If a horse was injured or needed medication, i was in charge of ensuring that that was administered.
  • Capable of IV and IM injections, as well as lots of other doctoring needs.
  • Conducted regular assessments of feed quality to ensure optimal nutrition levels for the herd.
  • Responsible for farm maintenance; dragging pastures, fixing fence, waters, and lights, as well as being the main communication with our foreman.
  • Led guest experiences including; catlle sortings, ranch ridings, western lessons (of all ages), natural horsemanships, and trail rides.
