I worked as a Correctional Nurse at Columbia Correctional Institution for 26 weeks. Caring for approximately 800 inmates under maximum security. Days consisted of passing meds, running the daily clinic/urgent care, reporting to emergent calls, and collaborating with MDs regarding treatments and proper inmate evaluation and transfers. Documenting was completed through Cerner.

Staffed in Preop, PACU, Pre-Surgery Testing and Ambulatory Surgery Center depending on staffing needs. areas cared for: Spine, Ortho, GYN, Breast, General, Plastics Documenting was completed in Epic

I worked here per diem, approx 2-3 days per week. I did Pre/Intra/Post procedural nursing in an IR setting. The MD I worked for managed fistulas and patients who needed access for dialysis. I monitored and recovered patients as they received conscious sedation with Versed and Fentanyl. We used "Braintree" for charting.

Worked as a Stat RN my last year here. I reported to all critical patient calls within the hospital acting as a support to the primary RN. I placed Ultrasound IVs on all patients with difficult vascularity throughout the hospital. Prior to taking the Stat RN position I worked full time in the ED. I was ED RN, Charge RN, Triage RN and assisted in precepting new nurses in the dept. I also worked for approx 1 year in the Oncology clinic. I am well trained in EPIC charting.

I completed two 17 week travel nurse contracts in the ED in Oshkosh at Aurora and Madison at Meriter, WI.

I started my nursing career here on a Med Tele floor for 2 years and then transferred to the ED in 2014.
