  • As a team of usually five people, we go into houses on base that residents have already moved out of, and deep clean them before the new tenant arrives. We all work on our own sections of the house, cleaning things like switchblades, shelves, lights, and all other appliances. My hours for this job are from 12 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, my hours are very flexible because I fully manage my hours at SD Cleaning. It's important to work as a team, and it has taught me a lot of great team management skills.
  • Polished chrome faucets and other metal surfaces using appropriate polish or cleaner.
  • Sanitized surfaces with appropriate disinfectants to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Collected trash from floors within hallways, bathrooms and work areas.
  • Hand-washed windows inside and outside to improve visibility and aesthetic appeal.
  • Cleaned blinds to remove dust particles that accumulate over time.
  • Swept and mopped all hard surface floors.
  • Pulled chewing gum from undersides of tables, desks, chairs and various other fixtures, discarding gum and sanitizing area.
