  • Provide management expertise resolving critical and day-to-day issues relative to the field administration of the Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP). Assigned responsibility for the local criminal justice related tasks, the daily operations, and the custodial management of the program and incarcerated persons. Make recommendations to DRP, prison administration, and contract treatment management staff to resolve issues involving the functioning of the MCRP. Various duties include: ensuring that appropriate on-site custodial coverage is provided; oversight of the processing of daily facility incarcerated person counts; preparing and submitting required reports to Headquarters (HQ); preparing daily movement sheets; overseeing adherence to facility procedures, California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 15, program regulations, and the Department Operations Manual (DOM); maintaining the overall safety and security of the custodial aspects of the program; facilitating training for both California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and contract staff; serving as liaison with institutional, DRP, and outside agencies; providing ongoing daily review of incarcerated person visiting; conducting formal monitoring of operations of programs; preparing responses to correspondence; attending meetings; conducting public presentations; responding to inquiries from the public, legislators and other governmental entities; enforcing and ensuring compliance with the ADA.   • My responsibilities included supervise the Correctional Case Management System (CCCMS) Administrative Segregation Unit. I ensured that all rules that govern CCCMS Ad-Seg were adhered to. Supervise staff and ensured that all inmates who have yard receive yard as required. Supervise staff and ensured that "CCCMS" inmates in ‘ASU1’ are allowed access to CCCMS group activities. Maintain facility security through regular inspections to ensure compliance with governing regulations and standards relating to facility maintenance and health and safety of inmates; maintain established staffing levels by arranging staff work schedules; ensure that staff are fully trained and that proper conduct, actions and procedures are followed; review written reports prepared by Correctional Officers; evaluate the work performance of facility staff. I attended meetings as instructed and participated in committees as instructed or delegated. Act as a Hearing Officer for 115 Rules Violation Reports classified as administrative. Continuously monitor all reports relevant to the inmate disciplinary process to ensure they are processed in a timely manner and due process rights are not violated. Review/investigate/respond to appeals assigned by the Facility Captain and/or Associate Warden of assigned area. Assist in preparing CDC 837 Crime/Incident Reports for incidents. Ensure inmates placed in Administrative Segregation Unit have their Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Ensure security/welfare checks conducted in ASU.
