• 5-6 patient assignment: CVA,TBA,MVA,CABG,MI,Sepsis COPD exacerbation,ESRD patients on HD,etc-all with multiple comorbidities.
• Head to toe thorough assessments; Monitoring for changes in condition, telemetry, caring for Vented and Trached patients with G-tubes-NPO,TPN, IV hydration,IV antibiotic, IVP medications.
• Close monitoring of patients to ensure best possible care plan, working with all disciplines:
• Hospitalist

• Nutritionist
• Case Management / Social Worker
• Extensive wound care experience including wound vacs.
• Precepting new nurses to the floor.

• Responsibility for 16+ patients on rehabilitation floor; Includes assessments, passing meds, vitals, and treatments.
• In charge of 5 CNA's
• In charge of obtaining and entering doctors orders, pharmacy and laboratory paperwork.
• Monitoring lab results, x-rays, ultrasounds and notifying MD.
• Coordinating specialists appointments and transport: cardiologists, dermatologist, ophthalmologist, etc.
