● Compliance
Adhere, lead, design and implement programs, policies and practices to ensure that all sites are in compliance with federal, state and local HR regulatory requirements. ● COVID-19
Implement work from home policy for 75 corporate employees. Amend IIPP (injury Illness Prevention Plan) and job descriptions to those that were permitted to work from home. Served as contact person for FFCRA (Families First Corona Response Act), CARES Act, California Supplemental Paid Sick Leave and researched/assisted in obtaining 6M PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loan. Contact CDC and state department of health for updated information. Create questionnaires for HR contact tracing, samples for leave letters and provide weekly updates to keep department apprised on company policies and state/federal policies. Implemented a mandatory vaccine policy.
● Benefits Administration
Manage monthly benefits (375 employees) and monitor all COBRA participants. Manage annual open enrollment for all employees. Create enrollment training and launch enrollment platforms for new hires throughout plan year. Oversee monthly reconciliation provided by ADP.
● Training and Development Management
Responsible for So Cal division of on- line and instructor led training programs, including, but not limited to: on-boarding, open enrollment, harassment prevention, health and safety programs and manager training. Implemented a Respirator Safety training company wide.
● Policies and Procedures
Implement strategic HR policies and procedures for the company. Review existing policies, interpret and determine when flexibility or change is appropriate. Submit annual recommendations to VP of HR to ensure employee handbook is compliant.
● Employee Relations
Assist VP of HR to improve manager and employee performance by identifying and assisting in conflict resolution, implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees. Train and assist managers/supervisors on oral and written counseling, warnings and disciplinary actions. Review all termination decisions, evaluate for thorough cause and adequacy of conclusion, and assist in the termination process. Retain all documentation for employee's files and save within HRIS system.
● Compensation Management
Audit and maintain all compensation structures to ensure wage ranges are competitive with industry, relevant geographical area and company resources. Participate in salary surveys; maintain continuous wage and salary referral data. Compare job descriptions with position and wage data. Complete a semi annual analysis of wages to determine if salary adjustments are necessary.
