As staff RN at Saint Joseph’s, my responsibilities include carrying a 5-6 patient care assignment , providing head to toe assessments, medication administration, and communication with the care team to coordinate patients care.

• Assess patients in their homes providing education on disease process, medications, wound care and management of any medical device in the home.
• Collaborate closely with multiple health care disciplines, with patients medical providers, and patients families to manage the whole care of the patient.
• Assessed and prepared patients for procedures, performing initial and ongoing patient assessments.

• As staff ICU Registered Nurse: I managed various treatments and care intervention for the critically ill requiring ventilation and critical medication drips. I treated patients suffering from chronic and acute medical conditions, I coordinated and performed patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• As ICU charge Registered Nurse: I trained and mentored new RNs on best practices, hospital policies and standards of care. I audited patient charts in real-time, verifying accuracy and completion of information. I made assignments for the nursing team based on patient acuity. I rounded on patients and their families to ensure their satisfaction and that they were updated and understood the plan of care.
• As House Manager I maintain communication with other department managers and administrators to facilitate bed-flow and solve staffing issues. I facilitate problem solving for difficult patient care issues while maintaining hospital policy. I resource to all departments where ever help is needed to provide patient care.

• As Telemetry Charge Registered Nurse, I coordinated assignments and bed-flow for the department. I worked closely with case management and providers to facilitate discharges with proper resources needed for the patient to maintain health outside the hospital. I was on partnership council to promote better communication between all departments in the facility.
• As an ICU Registered Nurse, I provided care to the critically ill. I worked closely with cardiologist, nephrologist, pulmonologist and nocturnist to coordinate and provide care to ventilated patients. I maintained thorough, accurate and confidential documentation in electronic medical records.
