Job overview
- Management duties include oversight of all accounting, finance and human resource functions for 750 member, private, not-for-profit (501c7) country club.
- Club's facilities include 27-hole private golf course, pro shop, fitness, racquets and aquatic center, full service restaurant, casual dining outlets and multiple employee housing units.
- Specifically responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, as well as inventory and fixed asset management.
- Additionally responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, audit preparation, long range planning and forecasting, personnel and benefit management, computer systems maintenance, and Board of Directors relations and governance.
- Develop and oversee annual operating budget of $12M, managed $15M in capital improvements in past five years and annual staffing of 200 seasonal and full time employees with annual payroll of $5M.
- Advise Board on strategies to improve financial growth, attract and retain members and best practices for private club governance and operations.
- Work closely with audit team to prepare accounts and documentation as well as conduct audits according to all regulatory requirements.
- Converted all paper based systems to digital formats including all accounting and HR functions.
