Summary

As a Member of the Nooksack Indian Tribe. I actively encourage youth to participate in culture actives that forster identity, intergenerational connection, and cross-cultural understanding. I provided consistent support and positive guidance to help young people engage meaningfully with both their own heritage and the broader community. I believe that culture is prevention and can save life by strengthening culture identity, we promote mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When appropriate, i share Nooksack tribe knowledge, teachings, and pass on our ways of life.

I also support youth participation in canoe journeys, which serve as powerful experiences of healing, cultural pride, unity among tribes. Through these journeys and other traditional practices, my goal is to keep our culture and traditions alive for future generations through respectful education, hands-on learning and continued practice.
