· Monitor baseline forecast against order book and customers while ensuring alignment with business guidelines.

As Principal Global Replenishment and Logistics Analyst I was responsible for managing supply chains which are part of the global replenishment network covering demand planning activities, inventory management, purchase and sales orders processes, and purchasing and procuring of parts for resale to our customer base.
This position requires interaction with external and internal customers as well as suppliers and other intercompany buyers within Timken. The main responsibilities associated with this position include first-line of communication, managing orders, expediting, demand forecasting, and overall customer satisfaction that is measured by our inventory stock in rates to our customers and our intercompany warehouses. On the supplier side of the responsibilities, it covers placing and managing orders to a defined supply base, expediting late orders, forecasting to our external suppliers, coordination of shipments between supplier and Timken distribution centers or between supplier direct that is shipped to a customer. This position is also responsible for managing inventory across the supply chain including building inventory models, OSMI process, and inventory sweeps.
In addition to the analytical side of this job I was expected to report and present my findings and key metrics such as inventory days, value, projection as well as coordinating inventory planning related activities with cross functional areas such as sales, distribution, marketing, and purchase and sales order ownerships.
