Coordinate/schedule and facilitate department faculty meetings and other departmental meetings.
Create and disseminate surveys and provide data analysis and reports.
Plan, organize, and implement department faculty events, which may include symposiums, conferences, seminars, and banquets.
Communicate (by email, in-person, or phone) with central offices such as Academic Personnel, Procurement, Space, Web management, Facilities, IT, Registrar, Human Resources, etc.
Field questions and connect with appropriate people within the schools and externally to convey information requested by the chair or to determine answers to the chair's questions.
Provide the department chair with administrative support as they administer the financial affairs of the department including assistance with budget account reconciliation and coordination with the Dean's office financial staff.
