Registered Nurse

Physicians Clinic of Iowa, Otolaryngology
10.2003 - 04.2016

I began my time at PCI in the Otolaryngology Department as an office assistant. I mostly worked in the medical records department part-time around my college classes, filling paper records as well as sending records to facilities, insurance companies, etc. As I graduated nursing school, I accepted a position with a provider from the clinic. Duties with this included room patients, obtaining vitals as needed, assisting with procedures, traveling with providers to outreach clinic as well as triaging and returning phone calls. I worked in the clinic for several years so I became adept at most things including helping at the reception desk, surgery scheduling, insurance approvals and could help cover most positions when we were short staffed.
