As Front Desk Administrator I was in charge of each days schedule, checking clients in, making sure their kennel was accurately marked (name, surgery, NPO, etc). I was responsible for the weekly schedule of my coworkers, balancing and reconciling of each days business including credit card machines.

While employed by The Emergency Animal Service (TEARS) I held several positions; mostly concurrently. I started as the Adoptions Coordinator; reviewing applications, screening them, doing vet checks, home visits, etc. I also joined a nationwide adoption website and was the administrator over that. I took all the pictures and wrote the accompanying bios.
I was then put into n the Animal Recue Team and taught things such as observing the scene, ascertaining what treatment to administer, transporting to the emergence clinic. I learned how to attend to cuts, broken bones, etc. I learned to administer pain medicine, start an IV, begin sub-q fluids, comfort the animal and more.
I also held the Board Directors position of Secretary keeping accurate notes from meeting to meeting.
Soon I was given the title of Adoptions Coordinator which involved me lacing the animal on our “For Adoption” page, taking photos, writing bios, screening applicants, vet checks, home visits and all applicable paperwork.
I was also a foster home for many of the rescues mostly the pregnant or nursing ones. I learned how to treat mange, rickets, upper respiratory, dehydration, etc. I know how to give sub-q fluids, IV meds, tube feeding, etc.
