Summary

Dynamic Clinical Charge Registered Nurse with extensive experience at Health First Palm Bay Hospital on a PCU unit, excelling in quality improvement and patient relations. Proven track record in enhancing care outcomes through effective teamwork and active listening. Skilled in advanced cardiac life support and committed to fostering a culture of safety and excellence in nursing practice. I have been certified as a PCCN nurse as well as being NIH stroke certified.

I am happy to say that the unit I worked on went an entire year without a catheter associated urinary tract infection as well as central line associated blood stream infection.

Patient safety if very important and I am very familiar with conducting safety audits during my shift on sections of rooms to make sure all measures were in place for our patients, especially on our high fall risk patients. We had no pass zones in place which meant if a bed alarm was going off anyone passing that room was to go in and check on that patient to help prevent falls.

Having great teamwork is very important to me. In nursing things can change very quickly with just one patient declining can put a nurse behind in much of her patient care. When you have good team work and communication with your unit. The staff will just jump in and help where ever they can because they know that it will be done for them in the same situation. This keeps the patients safe as well as keeping them satisfied. I have worked as a charge nurse for 8 years and I feel that I am ready to take on an assistant manager position and learn more about the management side of maintaining a great nursing unit. I would like to be part of improving patient outcomes and streamline operational processes through effective communication and critical thinking skills.
