As a Licensed Practical Nurse, my duties include but are not limited to:

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitoring patients’ vital signs and health conditions.
• Collecting samples for lab tests.
• Dressing wounds and providing basic wound care.
• Assisting patients with personal hygiene.
• Providing emotional support to patients and their families.
• Educating patients on disease prevention and post-rehabilitation care.

As a Patient Care Assistant my duties were as follows:

• Reported any observed changes in behavior or physical condition to the nursing staff immediately.
• Obtained patient vital signs and reported results to staff nurse or physician to identify changes from prior measurements.
• Supported daily living activities by serving meals, feeding, ambulating and turning over and positioning patients.
• Documented information in patient charts and communicated status updates to interdisciplinary care team.
• Responded quickly in emergency situations by providing appropriate first aid measures.

As an Environmental Services Technician my duties consisted of processing of clean linens to supply the patient care units of the hospital. I then transferred to the housekeeping department where my duties consisted of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in both clinical and non-clinical areas of the healthcare facility.
