• Responsible for obtaining history and physical, initiating admission orders for treatment, reconciling home medications, and caring for patients admitted under Internal Medicine team.
• Rounding on patients in the acute setting and inpatient rehab with PM&R
• Manage and treat acute on chronic illnesses
• Perform preoperative evaluations for patients undergoing non-emergent surgeries and recommending further risk stratification if necessary.
• Care for patients on hospice and provide comfort care measures.
• Act as a medicine consultant when requested by various specialties while patient is hospitalized.
