Since the 2022 Holiday season up until present day I have been running my own at home business. It all started in my home kitchen selling meal preps to our local Border Patrol Officers in Uvalde which I later expanded to baked goods and my popular home-made chamoy candies. All of this has been a great experience for me because I am constantly learning.

• Despite being on my own schedule and not really having anyone to report to, I was able to develop self-discipline
• Along with successes and high fives, have also come tears, doubts and lessons learned
• Running my own at home business has undoubtedly become one of the best experiences of my life.

Working for Griffith Ford has allowed me to learn a lot more about the car business. Being my first management position I was able to gain leadership skills. I enjoyed learning about the car business. I was able to organize holiday events and help the sales team with making appointments and sales

• I gained a lot of knowledge in marketing and promoting
• I put together social media content to attract more customers in the business, which worked great
• I was able to lead and present my team with new ideas and work with great marketing vendors
• Skills I acquired were technical skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, listening skills, organization skills, adaptability, and great financial skills.

• Working as a dispatcher for Uvalde County was a crucial learning experience for me
• Being a part of the UPD family was great, I got to meet so many great first responders in our community and had the privilege to work with them as well
• Being one of the only fluent Spanish dispatchers I was able to help many non-English speakers on emergency calls and to me that was the most rewarding part of this job
• I obtained better decision-making, communication, multitasking, and adaptability skills in this job
• Aside from taking emergency calls, I would also help citizens and communicate with different law enforcement agencies within our county including Border Patrol, DPS state troopers, game wardens, sheriff deputies, etc

-Acted as a liaison between emergency personnel and other agencies

-Provided technical support for emergency responders in the field

-Participated in training sessions to stay abreast of new technologies

-Utilized computer-aided dispatch systems to record and track activities

-Operated two-way radios, cellular phones and other communications equipment

-Recorded incident reports, including details of the incident and response

-Monitored emergency and non-emergency communications for police, fire and medical services

Prepared and submitted reports on communication activities

• Working for H-E-B Curbside, I was more active and grew my communication skills
• I had to learn to work fast and efficiently, which was not a problem
• Although I had already worked for the company for more than 6 years, being in Uvalde was a different experience for me as I was able to adjust to a new environment and group of people I had never worked with before
• My time at H-E-B Uvalde was a great experience and I was able to grow a bond with many Partners at this store.

• Being a tutor for BISD I was able to learn a lot from my students and fellow teachers
• I learned how to become a patient worker and learned how to get into a routine
• I was put in situations where I was the leader and role model for not one but several people
• I was also able to learn how to problem solve efficiently and take initiative.

• I enjoyed every day I worked for this company because of the Partners I worked with and the customers I came across
• Some of the many accomplishments I made while working for H-E-B include learning what hospitality means and how to apply it in the work environment, learning how to be a fast and productive checker, and of course growing with the company.
