Hired to manage Cookeville Counter Tops approximately one year after current owner had purchased business from original owner.
When I started Cookeville Counter Tops in 2002, they had a small wholesale customer base, including 2 Lowe's stores (Cookeville and Crossville), The Contractor Yard, and many small cabinet shops/wholesale customers.
It was my job to oversee and manage wholesale end of laminate countertop business.
With help of amazing shop crew, wholesale business grew to servicing over 50 Lowe's stores and started the process application process to become an installer of laminate counter tops for Lowe's.
I created and implemented procedures of:
Flow of orders, Order of materials, Receipt of Materials, Production Schedules, Delivery Schedules, and Customer Billing. Further Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
Process Orders received either via fax or phone-in
Checking orders for accuracy, and obtaining any additional information needed.
Placing material on order with supplier, or putting order in production should it be stock material.
Invoicing of all orders.
Tracking of all materials.
Receiving material from supplier.
Scheduling daily production of all orders.
Scheduling of all deliveries.
Handling all signed paperwork from deliveries.
