I grew up in Marietta, Georgia. I started working when I was 15 and really haven't stopped since. I am driven and truly have a love of learning. I am a deep thinker and really love to ask questions and show people how all things really point back to the Lord.
I am currently leading a class of 11 seniors using the Classical method. We are studying Ancient literature, Latin, Physics, Theology, Calculus, and World History. My class is also working on a Senior Thesis which they will defend at the end of the year. I write lesson plans, plan meetings and field trips, assess leadership, and communicate with parents and students. We meet once a week to discuss work that has been done at home and plan for the week ahead.
My responsibilities required me to lead a class using the Classical learning method. I had a class of seven students. I not only assessed projects and debates but gave feedback to parents as well. Subjects led were British Literature, Debate, Geometry, Latin, Biology, Western Culture, and Formal Logic. I also led devotions and prayers each week. We met on a weekly basis to discuss work done at home and to prepare for the next week. We met for 30 weeks.
I led a class of 8-12 elementary age students through memory work, art, science, and music using classical methods.
I opened a resale clothing store in Athens, Georgia in 2002. Two years later I opened a second location in Marietta, Georgia. My responsibilities spanned from hiring, payroll, managing, and merchandising along with customer service. I sold the first store due to the demands of raising a family. The second location I ran until 2019, when the Lord called me into ministry full time as a homeschooling mom.
